Grace and I were loving our introduction to the Disney Wish! The food, the shows, the incredibly themed lounges-the list goes on and we loved it all! Our first full day included a port adventure in Nassau, at the nearby Blue Lagoon Island. We soaked up the sun at the beach and enjoyed an island lunch-as well as dolphin sightseeing!
Back on the ship, we also enjoyed the infinity pool in the adults-only area! After a delicious dinner at 1923 (our favorite dining room on the ship though all were SO good), we adored The Little Mermaid Broadway-style show! After the show, we visited the Bayou Lounge for beignets-the theming here is so enchanting! And it was Pirate Night, complete with fireworks at sea!
The next day was wonderful, beginning with the Mickey churro waffles at the buffet that I have been dreaming about ever since! We were delighted to spend the day at Disney's Castaway Cay and we especially enjoyed Serenity Bay, the 18 and up beach area, so very serene and beautiful! Once back on the ship, we rode the Aquamouse waterslide and returned to the infinity pool. The Aladdin show was truly superb and our absolute favorite show!
When Grace and I disembarked the Disney Wish, we headed over to Disney's Riviera Resort where Mike joined us several hours later. We enjoyed Bar Riva and pool time. We then hopped on the Disney Skyliner and visited Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort for a delectable dinner at Sebastian's Bistro. We watched fireworks from our balcony which was directly below Topolino's Terrace restaurant. We love this beautiful, elegant, relaxing resort!
In the morning, we headed right down to Topolino's for our favorite character meal! We were then off to explore Disney Springs and our next resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. So convenient as Disney bell services whisked our luggage away to our new resort! How fun to explore this resort, and such a close walk or boat ride from Disney Springs! The rooms were huge! And so light and airy.
We had dinner at Polite Pig in Disney Springs, which was quite yummy, and ended the evening with pool time and watching the Disney's Dreams that Soar drone show from our quiet pool area near our room in the Congress Park section-really cool!
The next day was my birthday, and let me just say, I highly recommend being at Disney on your birthday! A 30,000 steps park day beginning with early entry at Magic Kingdom, hopping to EPCOT in the afternoon, and back to Magic Kingdom for the evening, including extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests! Top 3 attraction highlights for Mike and Grace were Tiana's Bayou Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, and TRON Lightcycle Run. My top 3 were Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen, and Soarin' Around the World.
We did a Capture Your Moment photo session along with Memory Maker. The Capture Your Moment session was amazing- 20 minutes with a photographer and assistant, with photo stops and poses especially designed for you. It was a perfect birthday morning addition!
We ended our birthday vacation with a much-needed rest day including lunch at Olivia's at the neighboring Disney's Old Key West Resort, pool time at our resort, and dinner at Disney Springs before packing for our early morning departure the next morning. We used Away We Go for our transport and can't recommend them highly enough- the driver was so friendly and made everything easy, texting us ahead and arranging to come right to our section of the resort to pick us up curb-side.
